About the Meeting
The 71st Annual Conference of the Canadian Society of Microbiologists (CSM 2022) will be held on the main campus of the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario from June 26-29, 2022. The conference theme this year is ‘Microbes for Life and will focus on microbes in health and agriculture. All three sections of the Canadian Society of Microbiologists traditional pillars will be equally represented, including Applied and Environmental Microbiology, Infection and Immunity, and Molecular Genetics and Cellular Microbiology.
CSM-SCM will be highlighting multiple aspects of microbiology, with a symposium that includes novel approaches to drug discovery, food microbiology and food safety, microbial -omics and related technologies, fungal biology and pathogens, phages, microbial transporters and stress responses, the microbiome and parasitic biology and infections.

Please note, this conference is planned to be held in person, with the implementation of COVID-19 precautions. If an in-person meeting is not possible because of local health restrictions, the meeting will be virtual, with a partial program. In-person fees will be discounted and refunded accordingly.
