System Overview

The NEWTON FT-900 is the first deeply cooled CCD imager dedicated to both fluorescence and bioluminescence multispectral imaging for a wide range of in-vivo applications. Ideal for preclinical research, it provides non-ionizing and non-invasive visualization of biological processes in real time in the visible, near and short-wave infrared spectrum (VIS/ NIR/ NIR-II). Whether your focus is oncology, immunology, infectious disease, neurology, or biodistribution studies, our all-in-one system accommodates them all.

This cutting-edge optical imaging system achieves 10 times greater photon penetration depth than visible fluorescence, facilitating NIR-II light to travel deeper into small animal tissue with less autofluorescence.

NIR-II Fluorescence

Achieve unmatched depth and sensitivity with imaging technology designed to push past conventional limits. Our intensified filtered LED delivers 10× greater photon penetration depth than visible fluorescence. Capture live, ultra-low-noise events using the cooled 1″CCD SWIR InGaAs camera, equipped with 20 µm pixels and video mode for faster acquisition and superior sensitivity. Visualize multiple reporters with the overlay feature and take advantage of 10 excitation channels (440–980 nm) and 14 high-efficiency emission filters (1000–1500 nm), engineered with dual magnetron filter technology for exceptional signal-to-noise ratios. Narrow excitation filters further minimize autofluorescence, ensuring clarity in every image.

Bioluminescent & 3D Optical Imaging

Reconstruct bioluminescent signals in 3D with our advanced topography imaging module, enabling precise visualization of signal volume. Gain deeper insights into tissue structures using the integrated Mouse Atlas, which overlays organ maps onto the topography image. With Newton’s CCD and 3D cameras, you can accurately pinpoint both the size and location of signals.

VIS Fluorescence

Expand your experimental flexibility by handling a wide range of simultaneous signals across the visible spectrum (440–850 nm). Our advanced spectral unmixing technology eliminates crosstalk, using precise mathematical dye separation to ensure each channel represents a pure signal. For added safety and versatility, transport and image even immunocompromised animals with the XT 500 isolation chamber, fully sealed and equipped with HEPA-SPF filters.
