Our glass cannula packs contain one dozen high-quality hand-made pipettes. Tips are ground and polished to have a distinct beveled edge, which facilitates vessel cannulation. There are different packs with different specifications for each size range offered. The Glass Cannula Packs can come various tip diameters (listed in specifications).

Glass Cannula Pack, Custom Size, 1 mm OD, 12 pk
Our standard cannula outer diameter is 1.2 mm, sized to fit our cannula holders. For custom applications, many users employ glass cannulae having an outer diameter of 1 mm. We are happy to make cannula packs for you to suit your custom application. Our custom 1 mm OD cannula packs include one dozen finely made cannulae, sized to your specifications. The closely matched pulled tips featured in our custom packs are also well suited to studies involving intraluminal flow. Just let us know what size vessels you will be working with, and we would be happy to make cannulae to your specifications. We can also make the cannulae longer (up to 70 mm) than our standard 30-40 mm length if you wish.

If you are doing studies on pressurized blood vessels in the presence of intraluminal flow, it is essential to have cannulae that are closely matched in size. Just let us know what size vessels you will be working with, and we would be happy to make cannulae to your specifications. We can also make the cannulae longer (up to 70 mm) than our standard 30-40 mm length if you wish.
Glass Cannula Scoring Tool
This glass cannula scoring tool is a useful accessory to have on hand for cutting your cannulae to the appropriate length. The tool is shaped like a pencil, for easy ergonomic use. The tool has a diamond tip point that can be replaced when it is worn out. You use the tool by gently applying pressure to a piece of glass tubing at the point where you wish to cut off excess material. Etch the tubing at this point by circumscribing a line around the diameter of the cannula. Simply snap off the excess tubing. The scoring mark created by the tool will result in a clean sharp break point. For best performance, we suggest passing the cut cannula end into a flame briefly to fire polish the edge. This will result in a smooth surface on the end of your cannula and will minimize the introduction of plastic tubing fragments or glass shards that can clog the inside of an unpolished cannula.

This is a pack of raw tube stock that can be used for pulling your own cannulae. This is the same high-quality borosilicate glass that we use to construct the cannulae in our glass cannulae packs. The package contains 22 pieces of tubing.
Nylon Thread for Tying Blood Vessels
Thread for tying off vessels, 6” length
This nylon thread has been specially selected for its suitability in tying off blood vessels to glass cannulae. This material is a multi-filament twisted thread. To use, simply tease away a small length of an individual filament. Tie an overhand knot in this small filament, and secure the vessel. Detailed tying instructions can be found in our user manuals for our vessel chambers.
