(February 20, 2025) LIVE DEMO: iNSiGHT DEXA/DXA

(February 20, 2025) LIVE DEMO: iNSiGHT DEXA/DXA

Join us for an engaging live webinar showcasing the iNSiGHT DEXA imaging system—a cutting-edge tool for body composition and bone mineral density analyses in preclinical research. This session offers a comprehensive exploration of the iNSiGHT system’s versatile capabilities, demonstrating how it can enhance your research with precise measurements of bone density, tissue composition, and more. Don’t miss this opportunity to see the system in action and learn how it can support innovative advancements in your work!

During this live session, our expert team will perform a hands-on demonstration of the iNSiGHT DEXA imaging system. The demonstration will include a step-by-step walkthrough of the imaging and analysis process, highlighting key features such as:

  • The ability to measure fat/lean composition and bone mineral density in mice and ex vivo samples with unparalleled precision and accuracy;
  • The various region-of-interest (ROI) drawing tools, including point-click polygons, free-hand lines, rectangles, and ellipses, for the analysis of unlimited ROIs; and
  • The user-friendly software interface, which allows for rapid and automated quantification, ultimately streamlining data analysis and enhancing productivity in the lab.

Learning Objectives: By attending this webinar, participants will:

  • Learn how to perform body composition analysis, including bone density, fat, and lean tissue measurements.
  • Gain insights into streamlining data acquisition and analysis with intuitive software tools.
  • Develop an understanding of how the system’s innovative design simplifies data acquisition while maintaining precision and reliability.

Whether you’re new to DEXA technology or seeking to optimize your current methodologies, this session will provide actionable insights tailored to your needs. Register today and take the next step in advancing your preclinical research with the iNSiGHT DEXA!

We will have two separate sessions for this demo on February 20th, 2025.

Speakers

  • Dr. Tyler Lalonde, PhD
    Dr. Tyler Lalonde, PhD
    Manager, SAIL Platform, McGill University

Dr. Tyler Lalonde has an interdisciplinary background in biochemistry, chemistry, radiochemistry, molecular imaging, and chemical biology. He specialized in surface chemistry during his undergraduate studies in Biochemistry. Here (Laurentian University) he studied biodegradable implant materials using various microscopy techniques. He then moved on to the University of Western Ontario where he developed novel imaging pharmaceuticals for various human diseases such as cancer and cardiovascular disease. From here he expanded his scope in drug design and development at Texas A&M University as a postdoctoral fellow. Dr. Lalonde has been in the field of research and development for 11 years now and has knowledge in multiple areas that is an asset to Scintica and our customers.

  • Dr. Jade Marrow, PhD
    Dr. Jade Marrow, PhD
    Product Manager, Scintica Instrumentation

Dr. Jade Marrow holds a PhD from the University of Guelph in Human Health & Nutritional Sciences and previously obtained a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Human Kinetics. Using a variety of imaging modalities, hemodynamic measurement tools, and molecular techniques, her research centered around cardiovascular health and improving our understanding of how the structure and function of the heart respond to stress. Dr. Marrow has over 6 years of experience investigating the non-canonical roles of erythropoietin in the heart and developing novel biologics for the treatment of myocardial infarction. In her present role as a Product Manager at Scintica Instrumentation, she works closely with Scintica’s x-ray and optical imaging portfolios and specializes in aligning innovative solutions with customer needs.
