Argus Compact PET or CT

Easily amendable to any lab space with exceptional resolution and sensitivity

System Overview

The Compact PET & Compact CT systems are alternatives to the SuperArgus PET/CT. The Compact PET system incorporates the same state-of-the-art detectors and electronics as the SuperArgus system. The compact systems have a bore size of 55mm making it ideal for mouse imaging. There is a common bed to transport the animal between imaging systems if the researcher is looking to co-register the images.

Compact PET

The Compact PET system incorporates the same state-of-the-art detectors as the SuperArgus systems. These compact systems have a bore size of 55mm making them ideal for mouse imaging. There is a common bed to transport the animal between the Compact PET and Compact CT systems if co-registration of the data and images is required. The core of the compact scanner is the unique phoswich PET detector technology, which provides true depth-of-interaction (tDOI) to correct parallax error and provide resolution (≤1.0mm) uniformity across the entire field of view.

Features & Benefits

State-of-the-art phoswich detectors in the Compact PET system
  • Provide true depth of interaction (tDOI) information resulting in
  • High resolution; ≤1.0mm
  • Uniform resolution across the entire field of view (45mm), with the field of view filling the majority of the bore of the system due to the parallax error correction
  • High sensitivity; 14% at 100-700keV
Ultrafast reconstruction

3D reconstruction in under a minute

Optimized reconstruction algorithms on the Compact PET system
  • FBP (Filtered Back Projection) completed in less than 5 seconds
  • 2D OSEM (Ordered Subset Expectation Maximization) completed in less than 1 minutes
  • 3D OSEM completed in less than 2 minutes
  • Bone Mineral Content (BMC)
  • Bone Mineral Density (BMD)
  • Bone area
  • Tissue area
  • Fat tissue (mass and percentage)
  • Lean tissue (mass and percentage)
  • Total mass
Interchangeable animal handling systems

To allow multi-modal imaging, as the system moves from the Compact PET to Compact CT system seamlessly

Scan times as fast as 1 minute

Be able to see your data acquired within minutes of a compete scan. Very helpful for first pass imaging and high throughput studies.
